From the initial approach, our family owns the land where the hotel is located, as farmers for some generations, had the desire to make a building with maximum impact and minimum integration.

Opened in late 2006, the receipt of the Winds Hotel, surrounded by meadows and forests, is perfectly integrated into its surroundings. We have always tried to show a commitment for environmental issues. Since its construction have followed bioclimatic criteria and energy saving. Guidelines standards such as ISO 14001 or EMAS, have marked our management idea.

The materials used such as stone, pine wood and iron, blend with the environment and have worked for suppliers of Alt. Since 2013 we have a modern automated biomass boiler to heat our facility • facilities, mainly in the area of the Spa, hot water and underfloor heating. The boiler is rated at 100kW and works with vendors coming splinter bought and forecast to extract it from the woodland itself. The inicialera propane combustion system, which remains as an alternative.

We collect rainwater for watering the garden. The water comes from a source close hotel that is channeled to a tank where it is to meet the health standards, preserving its natural purity. We have to treat the waste treatment plant itself organically.

In all raw materials, especially those that are used for the restoration premium criterion of proximity – local suppliers (Km 0) -. Yogurt, cottage cheese, sausages, bread, honey … The meat comes from our family, as well as seasonal vegetables, mushrooms or eggs.

We work with the present and the future vision of a sustainable way forward is always encouraging integration in our environment and making the minimum possible impact. Our goal is to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible in a building at the same time to present the richness of the natural environment around us.
